I have a dream to one day create a prototype school, where these strategies and other important life skills will be taught to young people, through an intensive, experiential program.
I believe the traditional 'bricks and mortar' approach to educating young people is becoming obsolete, and have dedicated my second career to making changes in our existing public school system - to help better prepare young people for real life.
Ashley's Ranch, although a dream today, will be a prototype school where a team of people will design, test and apply, a universally workable curriculum for grades kindergarten to 12, to teach practical life skills for navigating relationships, work, and money to name a few, for eventual integration into the existing public school system.
